- + How To Measure Access Panel
-
Overall Size:
Measure the size of the air drywall opening. Do not measure the overall size of the access panel itself, only measure the "hole" in the wall. Every access panel has a front end frame that will overlap at the wall joint. The total outer size of this panel is the listed size plus 2".
Width vs Height:
The first number in a access panel size represents the width, and the second number represents the height. For example, if your hole is 20" wide by 14" tall, order a 20x14 access panel. If your hole is 14" wide by 20" tall, order a 14x20 panel.
